CAE & CPE
Cambridge Advanced Certificate
The CAE or C1 (advanced certificate) is an in-depth, high-level qualification that shows you have the language skills that employers and universities are looking for. Our course helps you prepare for this challenging exam. The course is 5 weeks long (3 hours per week) and covers comprehensive training of each skill: writing, reading, listening, speaking and also grammar. In addition to your course, students are also able to access free resources to practice their skills. A payment plan is available should you need one. Speak to us about it before signing up.
Cambridge Proficiency Exam
The CPE exam is challenging in that it requires a thorough understanding of all four skills in the English language. Our course is designed to help you meet this goal. The course focuses on the exam requirements, however students can strengthen their skills further by utilizing our listening, writing, reading and grammar resources. A payment plan can be arranged – speak to us about that before signing up.
COURSE STRUCTURE
WEEK1 - SKILL 1 - WRITING
Structured writing training lessons that are focused on the exam. Students will be required to submit homework on a regular basis. In addition to the writing course, students can access the writing resources to further strengthen their writing skills
WEEK 2 - SKILL 2 - READING
Structured reading training and how to approach the various types of questions. Reading can be tricky so we take a structured approach and help you to learn techniques to comprehend the text. Students are required to complete all reading assignments and are encouraged to access our free reading resources.
WEEK 3 - SKILL 3 - LISTENING
Structured, comprehensive listening lessons. Students will be required to submit listening homework regularly. Students can also access listening resources in the study room
WEEK 4 - SKILL 4 - SPEAKING
Focus on exam-focused speaking and an in-depth covering of speaking criteria.
WEEK 5 - GRAMMAR
The final section in the course is grammar. Both CAE and CPE exams require a good foundation of advanced grammar. Students are required to submit grammar homework regularly and are encouraged to access more advanced grammar exercises in our resources section.
